FESS

Professor Longhair
Well, what to say? That I'm almost ashamed to admit that I've never heard about Professor Longhair until I first made it to New Orleans in 1971? I am. That I never bought an album of him until reminded by my friends Andy J. Forest and Billy Gregory, who used to play lead guitar with It's a Beautiful Day ten years later? True.
So, no long talk this time, except for to say that I came to love Fess' music at an older age, when I begun to understand better the music styles of New Orleans.
Here, for your enjoyment, you'll find a few videos made in the 'seventies of Professor Longhair with The Meters,, one of them featuring as well Dr John and Earl King and, finally, Allain Toussaint, who produced them all, talking about Fess and his music.
So please, ladies and gents, ENJOY THE SHOW!
